Hope you all had a great 4th of July. Mine was fantastic! We got together with the other missionaries in our zone and celebrated with hotdogs and basketball. And yes, it WAS as fancy as is sounds. Later on, we had dinner at an amazing member’s house with all their friends and family, and I brought my guitar and played a couple songs for them. It was nice to finally be able to play for people, and it brought the Spirit to the home very quickly.
We were tracting the other day, and we met a nice older lady who started talking to us and asked us what was different between us and Jehova’s Witnesses. We got talking about what we believe, and she told us that her daughter and two granddaughters are all JW’s, and said that the granddaughters are going to start their JW missions soon. She said she didn’t like how strict the JW’s are and said, quote “It’s a shame my granddaughters are off doing church things and not out meeting nice young men like you!” She told us that they would all be in town soon, and asked us to come over and meet them, and I was all, “Sorry, not what I’m out here for right now”, but proceeded to give her a copy of the BoM and invited her to church the next day. She didn’t come, just a hilarious story I wanted to tell you all. Crazy shenanigans happenin.
Well, in other big news, we met our new Mission President, President Clark, and his wife, on Friday last week. They are both so nice, and I’m so excited to be able to get to know them and work with them!
Well fam, that’s pretty much all I’ve got for this week.
Love you, miss you,
